These terms are intentionally short. By creating a WildCare organization, you agree to the following:
WildCare is a free web-based tool for wildlife rehabilitation centers to track animal patients, manage care schedules, and coordinate with finders. It is provided as-is, at no cost, by volunteers who care about wildlife.
WildCare is a record-keeping tool, not a source of veterinary guidance. Drug dosages, care protocols, and species information in the system are reference aids only. Always follow the direction of your licensed veterinarian. We are not liable for treatment decisions made using this software.
You own your data. We do not sell, share, or monetize your patient records, finder information, or organizational data. Your data is stored on our servers and we take reasonable steps to protect it, but we are a small volunteer project and cannot guarantee against data loss or breaches.
You are responsible for handling finder personal information (names, phone numbers, emails, addresses) in compliance with applicable privacy laws. Do not share finder contact information outside your organization without their consent.
Use WildCare for legitimate wildlife rehabilitation purposes only. Do not use it to store unrelated personal data, for commercial purposes unrelated to rehabilitation, or in any way that violates wildlife regulations in your jurisdiction.
Photos you upload and information you mark as public may be visible to anyone with the link, including finders checking on their animals. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any photos you upload and that public information is appropriate.
You are responsible for managing staff access to your organization. Use strong PINs and remove access for staff who are no longer with your organization. We are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from shared or weak credentials.
We aim to keep WildCare running reliably but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to take the system offline for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen circumstances. We will try to give notice when possible.
You may stop using WildCare at any time. Export your data first using the backup feature. We reserve the right to remove organizations that violate these terms or that have been inactive for more than 12 months, with 30 days notice to the registered email.
WildCare is provided free of charge, as-is, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to data loss, treatment outcomes, or service interruptions.
We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of WildCare after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify active organizations of significant changes via the email on file.
